REGISTRATION AND RESERVATIONS
Registration is limited to referring groups or children's agencies. Priority given to disabled
children's groups.
Facilities and programs are available to civic organizations,
school, community, church groups, etc who provide services or support
to children. Facilities are available to rent for business meetings,
social events, family gatherings, workshops with advance reservation on
space availability basis.

We are usually reserved a year in advance.

DEPOSITS: No
deposits are required due to our high volume of reservations and
return visitors, groups and agencies. Cancellations are required
a minimum of 45 days in advance. We have many groups who visit
our campus and no shows deprive another group the opportunity to
experience our programs. Please respect the cancellation policy.
REFERRALS:
May be made at any time by private or state youth agencies. Programs and facility design do not support individual care. Referrals
from juvenile justice system, care givers, professionals, parents, etc
will be evaluated for potential for access to our programs.
SUPPORT: Once
reservations are made, we will provide you with any assistance needed
for completing a productive, healthy, exciting and wholesome outdoor
experience. We have limited funding for visitors with developmental
disabilities who are residents of Phelps County and funds for mentally
retarded residents of Missouri.
OPERATIONS and RATES:
Our unique concept allows for any group or agency to utilize Brim Shire programs and facilities at very affordable rates.
CAMP BRIM SHIRE:
We have developed a process for all groups and agencies to be able to afford our programs and support their clients.
Our rates are a modest $2.00 per person for any portion of a day.
Visiting agencies provide staff to support their group, and leave
camping areas and facilities clean and undamaged. Although we do
not provide food for visiting groups our dining hall comes complete
with cookware and is available for a modest rate of $25.00 per day. (No
heat or air conditioning or $50.00 with heat or air conditioning).
Visiting groups provide their own food, paper ware and support staff.
This approach provides the using agency a unique opportunity to
have their staff get out of their home facility, integrate with their
children and clients , initiate children into the responsibilities and
growth of working with others for a common goal and interact with
children in a safe, wholesome outdoor setting.
ANGEL WING:
The
Angel Wing apartment / and resources are available on referral
from Social Services representatives from any of the local five
hospitals at no charge. This includes lake for fishing or for
relaxing, swimming pool (when not in use by our children or agencies)
trails, playgrounds, or other camp resources. All Angel Wing
visitors are expected to leave the facility as they find it, clean and
not damaged.
